“ The food was excellent! I had the brown sugar salmon and my husband and brother shared the snapper which was also great. Beautiful views and great service. Can't say anything bad about the place! ”
“ I enjoyed most of the food. The sad thing was that they did not have all the food options on the menu nevertheless we still had other options. The salmon was very well presented and prepared. My wife and I both love it. My red snapper fried was ok to be honest a somewhat of a let down. A 40 fish should be seasoned better. While I understand the fish garnishing is what gave the fish most of the taste was pleasantly good. The appetizers was really good the crab cakes was a home run. Our side equally as good. The desert key lime pie was a must the cream brûlée the custard was good but need more flavor. Perhaps more sugar. Service is slow but expected with all this Covid-19. Wine was good server was great. ”
“ Decided to try the new Red Fish restaurant that opened last month. It is fabulous!!!! Sat outside, socially distanced protocols were followed to a t! The service was impeccable. The food was the best! Had Oysters Rockefeller, conch fritters and tuna tartare all were super fresh, perfectly displayed with an attention to detail. I do think the Tuna must have just come from the ocean! The specialty drink with pear and guava was so smooth, refreshing and delightful! The view out back is romantic, soothing and I felt like I was on vacation on an island. Music played in the background. Heard live music is on Sunday and the observation deck opens soon. My New favorite restaurant! ”
“ I wanted to give this place 3 stars for their food, but their beautiful view and romantic setting bumped it to 4. Shrimp ceviche and fried calamari were ok, but nothing out of this world. Pan seared snapper was flavorful and better than their corvina. I heard great things about their Chilean sea bass, but didn't try it. Key lime pie and caramel flan were ok. Very nice view and romantic atmosphere. Take your bug spray if you are planning to sit outside. ”
“ I came here on a Thursday night for a birthday celebration, and from start to finish I had an exceptional night at Red Fish Grill. Parking is free for all restaurant patrons. We were seated immediately outside, overlooking the water. The view is beautiful outside especially at sunset. We ordered the calamari for appetizers which had a nice spicy kick, and our entire table enjoyed it. For our main courses I had the Big Eye Tuna, and my friends had the Caribbean Mahi Mahi and the Salmon, and each dish was so delicious that we wiped our plates clean. The portions were large and the flavor of each dish was so good. I particularly enjoyed the Big Eye Tuna. It was a fresh piece of raw tuna perfectly crusted with cumin and the salsa and black bean that accompanied it was the perfect sweet flavor to go along with the cumin. I enjoyed every single bite. I also tasted the other dishes and the fish were prepared perfectly! I must also commend the service staff as they were extremely attentive, polite, and knowledgeable in giving us recommendations. I thoroughly enjoyed my evening here and I will definitely be back again! ”
“ I can't recommend this place enough, from the view to the service to the food! If you want the absolute most serene, beautiful view in Miami do NOT miss out on Red Fish! It's smack on Mattheson Hammock Beach Park, so unique in itself. Ariel has been my server almost every time I go and she is outstanding. My favorite entree is the Cumin-Crusted Big Eye Tuna, with avocado puree, grapefruit marmalade, and chili oil. The flavors are incredible! I also recommend their calamari and ahi tuna for appetizers. Enjoy an amazing meal and beautiful view and Red Fish, don't miss out on the experience! ”
“ Okay I must say that I love this restaurant, even though I was a little doubtful to bring my mother giving my last experience here. Well great choice, compared to the last time the restaurant service was amazing, my mother loves the place, the food, the service, The View, and the atmosphere, my mother order the sea bass, that to me is the best in the menu and I order the red snapper, that with a bottle of wine and some fried calamari, the food, i already know that it's really good I've been to this restaurant a few times now, but the service to my mother was amazing and for that I'm extremely thankful, she has nothing but good things to say about this restaurant trust me I heard it all the way to her house and this morning she called me to ask the name of the restaurant because she needed to tell her coworkers... ”
“ We've wanted to come to Red Fish ever since we moved to South Miami a few years back. Anticipation was high as we turned onto the scenic mangrove lined mile on Matheson Hammock Park drive. At the end of the road, sits a pretty coral block building which is Red Fish Grill. During the day time you can find kiteboarding, windsurfers, and kayakers launching from the same parking lot into the bay. The bay opens to the Atlantic in the East beyond Key Biscayne's southernmost point. To the North you can spot Miami's unmistakable skyline with its multicolored buildings at night. Red Fish, as the name implies, is a seafood restaurant with limited seating and unfortunately without a bar. Therefore, it's vital you call ahead and make a reservation, which we did not. However, as luck would have it a table opened up. The dimly lit ambiance is intimate as candle light shadows bounce off the white coral walls. Outside seating is cordoned off by tiki torches. Linen service was good with nice crisp white napkins and table cloths. However, the plastic neon orange chairs were a bit cheesy for a fancy place like this. We each ordered two fish entrees: Chilean Sea bass over spinach and Atlantic Salmon over orzo. We shared a leafy mixed green salad. The presentation of the dishes were pretty and clean. The seas bass was 8 ounces, which is small, and tasted nice and buttery, however, was not enough to satiate. The salmon, also cooked to supple perfection, had more meat to it and also was served with a generous portion of orzo. Comparing the two dishes the salmon was the better value. For desert we shared their bread pudding which was sprinkled with white chocolate nibs and a raspberry sauce. Superb! The service was prompt and friendly. After dinner we followed the path around the lagoon before returning to our car. Red Fish Grill is definitely a nice place to treat your special someone when you are in the mood for seafood off the beaten path. ”
“ Food: excelent and fresh. I had the calamari and the shrimp scampi. My husband had the Snapper. Everything was so fresh!!! For dessert we had the coconut flan. The portion was very small but it was delicious. I won't share next time ;) We had a baby and they were very accommodating. ”
“ Well it's been a few years since I've been but I'm glad to review , Red Fish Grill Remains a classic and sure thing. You can't go wrong! For starters we ordered the Arugula and beet salad which was very tasty , I Had my favorite Chilean Sea Bass, perfect. My man had the Black Angus nice and juicy with just enough salt and cooked at medium rare and for dessert their light and flaky Key Lime pie. Romantic , breezy and spectacular night. Must remember Red Fish !! ”
